I established Square One Elder and Health Advocacy to fill an unmet need: preparing people to manage the health care, elder care and aging events that disrupt so many lives. The information I deliver is concise, relevant and practical. I tailor my presentation for each audience and provide a customized “Tools, Information and Resources” handout. My audiences include academic groups, professional organizations and community groups, and I have talked on topics including “Extending Elders’ Independence” and “Health Advocacy for Elders Affected by Substance Abuse and Addiction,” in addition to those listed above.

My goal for every presentation is to engage attendees, then give them tools they can use immediately in their lives and work. Please contact me to discuss how I can do that for your group. Presentations are also available as interactive classes or small group workshops.

I am a Board Certified Patient Advocate and have a Certificate in Patient Advocacy from UCLA Extension. I am also a community educator for CampaignZERO for Patient Safety, and completed the National Association of Home Builders’ Certified Aging in Place Specialist program. Before establishing Square One, I practiced commercial law for more than 30 years.

Presentations are also available as classes or workshops.
